A SCUBA dive into a clear and luminescent
sea leads us to a Zen like state of euphoria. As we swim through
swaying green kelp forests among golden Garibaldis and fat, bulging
Sunfish we are at home in the womb of the sea. An occasional striped
Jelly Fish floats by with its long tentacles trailing behind. This
is indeed the best of all possible worlds.
And then a bell sounds. We have forgotten.
Our air tanks are running low and it’s back topside to that other
world, that one of crashing waves on resistant shores,
Ah, yes! The parallel worlds of imagined
dreams that sustain us and the real world we meet every day.
